BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Malacca Strait still persists. It is may further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during next (12) hrs and likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal on (29.11.2023). Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm on (1.12.2023). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloudy to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th November 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (3-6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of isolated rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region.
