BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (04:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “MIDHILI” which has crossed Bangladesh coast near Khepupara and continue moved North-Northeastwards. It is weakened into a Land Depression over Tripupa-Mizoram, India. It is forecast continue to move North-Northeastwards and expected to weaken gradually. Weather is a few cloud over the Northwest Bay and Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 18th November 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Region and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with moderate to rough seas will be experienced off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in off and along Rakhine Coast and (5-7) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Chin States.
