SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Chin State, fairly widespresd in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine State, scattered in (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above November average temperatures in Ayeyarwady Region and Mon State, (3°C) to (4°C) above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and (5°C) above November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (7°C) in Hakha, (11°C) in Putao and (12°C) each in Machanbaw and Tiddim. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.30) inches in Manaung, (0.59) inch in Coco Island, (0.43) inch in Gwa, (0.32) inch in Labutta, (0.28) inch in Maungdaw and (0.23) inch each in Kyaukpyu and Falam.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the deep depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved continue North-Northeastwards. It is centered at about (370) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe, (365) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Kyaukpyu, (Myanmar), (220) Nautical miles East of Vishakhapatnam, (170) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Paradip, (250) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha (India) and (325) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh). Weather is cloudy over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th November 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in off and along Rakhine Coast and and (5-8) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
