SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Southern Shan State, scattered in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) above November average temperatures in Naypyitaw and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States and (2°C) above November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (7°C) in Hakha, (10°C) in Putao and (11°C) each in Tiddim and Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.63) inches in Nyaung Shwe, (0.90) inch in Kangyidaunt, (0.78) inch in Pinlaung and (0.68) inch in Thabaung.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over Southeast Bay and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal has moved West- Northwestwards and intensified into a depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (380) Nautical miles West of Coco Island, (450) Nautical miles West-Southwest of of Hainggyigyi (Myanmar), (275) Nautical miles Southeast of Vishakhapatnam, (350) Nautical miles South of Paradip, (430) Nautical miles South of Digha (India). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th November 2023: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Southern Shan State, scattered in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
