SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and isolated in Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (1.14) inches in Thayat, (0.79) inch in Madauk, (0.62) inches in Shwekyin, (0.51) inch in Ann, (0.47) inch in Hlaingbwe and (0.39) inch in Kawthaung.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Southwest Bay and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely forecast to move Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal on (23.10.2023). Weather is a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea, North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Tropical Storm “Sanba” over the Southern coast of China is likely forecast to move Southwestwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region, isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather has been partly cloudy the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
