SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Kayin State, scattered in Bago Region and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan States, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.83) inches in Paung, (2.50) inches in Paing Kyone, (1.10) inches in Myeik, (0.98) inch in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (0.95) inch in Laiway, (0.92) inch in Kyeikdon, (0.91) inch in Machanbaw, (0.55) inch in Phyu, (0.51) inch in Myawaddy and (0.47) inch each in Belin and Chaungsone.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
