SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Magway, Bago, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.78) inches in Sittwe, (3.52) inches in Ngaputaw, (3.31) inches in Pauktaw, (2.32) inches each in Minbya nd Phyarpon, (2.04) inches in Kawthaung, (1.97) inches in Launglon, (1.77) inches in Kyauktaw, (1.76) inches in Ponnagyun and (1.61) inches in Labutta.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Bago Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from Deltaic Myanmar areas..
