SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kayin State, fairly widespread in Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.38) inches each in Thandwe and Myebon, (2.55) inches in Putao, (2.32) inches in Pauktaw, (2.30) inches in Rathedaung, (2.09) inches in Kyaukpyu, (2.05) inches in Manaung, (1.89) inches in Yangon (Northern Dagon), (1.81) inches in Maungdaw, (1.57) inches in Sitttwe and (1.54) inches in Taungkok.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 04th October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Eastern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin, Southern Shan, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region.
