SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Kachin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Lower sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (6.61) inches in Paung, (6.38) inches in Hpa-an, (5.74) inches in Mawlamyine, (4.76) inches in Thaton, (4.49) inches in Kani, (3.82) inches in Belin, (3.74) inches in Chaungsone, (3.35) inches in Theinzayet, (3.15) inches in Paing Kyone, (3.07) inches in Yangon(Northern Dagon) and (2.99) inches in Mandalay (Chanayethasan).
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Northwest Bay of Bengal still persist. It is likely to move West- Northwestwards and may across North Odisha and adjoining West Bengal Coasts(India) during next (24) hours. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 01st October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
