BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Northeast Bay and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal now lies over Northeast Bay and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal. It is likely to move Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during next (48)hours there after it may reach to North Odisha and adjoining West Bengal Coasts, India.Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 30th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin, Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay,Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
