SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Northern Shan State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kachin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Yangon Regions and Kayin, Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (6.19) inches in Dawei, (6.14) inches in Ye, (5.67) inches in Launglon, (4.56) inches in Taungdwingyi, (3.51) inches in Khayan, (3.35) inches in Payathonsu, (2.90) inches in Ingabu, (2.84) inches in Yangon(Mayangon), (2.80) inches each in Coco Island and Kyaunggon and (2.60) inches in Myeik.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Area over Northeast Bay and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move northwestwards and may further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area during next (48)hours there after it may reach to North Odisha and adjoining West Bengal Coasts, India. Weather is cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
