BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Cell over the central of Thailand now lies over Deltaic Area of Myanmar and it is likely forecast continue to move West-Northwest.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 28th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan state, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9 - 11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5 - 7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
