BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Cell over the Northeast Thailand now lies over central of Thailand and it is likely forecast continue to move Westwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan States, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35 - 40) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9 - 11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5 - 7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
