BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Cell over the Thailand now lies over Northeast part of Thailand and it is likely forecast to move Westwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 27th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Chin State, widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
