BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Cell over the Thailand still persists and it is likely forecast to move Westwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine, Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
