SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Northern Shan, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Mon States, scattered in Southern Shan, Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.47) inches in Coco Island, (3.54) inches in Hkamti, (2.64) inches in Myitkyina, (1.54) inches in Hakha, (1.49) inches in Thandwe, (1.34) inches in Mudon, (1.10) inches in Mawlamyine and (1.06) inches in Tharzi(Hlaingtat).
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine states and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coast.
