SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.03) inches in Monyin, (2.95) inches in Yangon(Northern Dagon), (2.70) inches in Rathedaung, (2.56) inches in Yangon(Botahtaung), (2.30) inches in Okpho, (1.97) inches each in Manaung and Shan-Ywar-Thit and (1.89) inches each in Sittwe, Pauktaw, Yangon(Mayangon) and Okkan.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon Regions and Southern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coast.
