BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin, (Northern) Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
