BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 11th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Eastern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Magway, Yangon Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Mon State, Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
