SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Northern Shan State, scattered in Kachin, Eastern Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Rakhine, Kayin States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (6.30) inches in Kyeikkhame, (4.37) inches in Dawei, (4.33) inches in Launglon, (4.02) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (3.50) inches in Thandwe, (3.43) inches in Ye, (3.35) inches in Chaungsone, (3.23) inches in Mudon, (3.07) inches in Thaton, (2.95) inches in Hpa-an, (2.87) inches each in Shwekyin and Madauk and (2.84) inches in Natogyi.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) has weakened. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 07th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in (Northern and Eastern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
