SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the
past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, rain have
been isolated in Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, scattered in
Yangon Region and Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago and
Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Chin and Kayin States and widespread in the
remaining Regions and States .The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were
Manaung(2.44)inches, Yay (2.24)inches, Falam(1.97)inches, Machanbaw (1.50)inches,
Mawlaik (1.38)inches, Launglone (1.22)inches and Myeik (1.18)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong in the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 30th June, 2015: Rain or thundershowers
will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, Kachin, Rakhine and Mon States, fairly widespread
in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing
Region, Shan and Chin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States .
Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough sea are Likely at times off
and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35- 40) m.p.h.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
