SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (7.50) inches in Kyaiklat, (6.17) inches in Bogale, (6.14) inches in Labutta, (6.02) inches in Hainggyigyun, (5.87) inches in Mudon, (5.28) inches in Kyeikkhame, (5.16) inches in Chaungsone, (5.12) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (5.00) inches in Mawlamyinekyun, (4.45) inches in Belin, (4.42) inches in Wakema, (4.38) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (4.02) inches in Mawlamyine, (3.90) inches in Gwa and (3.85) inches in Yangon(Mayangon).
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over North Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move Northwestwards and it may further intensity into a depression during next (12)hours. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 01st August, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions. STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (45) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (10-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
