SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Ragion and Chin State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Kachin, Rakhine States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (13.66) inches in Kyeikkhame, (9.88) inches in Hpa-an, (8.74) inches in Ye, (8.50) inches in Paung, (7.72) inches in Belin, (6.54) inches in Dawei, (6.18) inches in Mudon, (6.02) inches in Launglon, (5.83) inches in Chaungsone, (5.79) inches in Mawlamyine, (5.59) inches in Thandwe, (5.32) inches in Thaton, (4.84) inches in Hlaingbwe, (4.61) inches in Kyeikmayaw and (4.25) inches in Putao.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over North Odisha and adjoining West Bengal Coasts, now lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha and West Bengal Coasts, India still persists. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be sacttered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago Region and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40-45) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Vigorous Monsoon.
