BAY INFERENCEAccording to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over North Odisha and adjoining West Bengal Coasts, India still persists. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 30th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
