SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region and Kayah State, scattered in (Northern and Southern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (12.60) inches in Paung, (8.50) inches in Kyeikkhame, (7.51) inches in Ye, (7.20) inches in Hpa-an, (6.85) inches in Dawei, (5.94) inches in Chaungsone, (5.55) inches in Mudon, (5.04) inches in Thaton, (4.96) inches in Kawkareik, (4.69) inches in Mawlamyine, (4.06) inches in Launglon and (4.02) inches in Paing Kyone.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over North Odisha and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal Coast, India. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, sacttered in Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Northern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
