SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, scattered in Southern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Kachin, Kayin and Mon States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.41) inches in Mogaung, (4.21) inches in Kyeikkhame, (3.60) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (2.91) inches in Mudon, (2.68) inches in Chaungsone, (2.56) inches in Kyauktaw, (2.48) inches in Shwegu, (2.40) inches in Bogale, (2.32) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit and (2.28) inches in Monyin.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the West Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal and North Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha Coasts has moved into the South Odisha and adjoining North Andhra Pradesh(India). Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Typhoon “Doksuri” over the South China Sea is likely to move West- Northwestwards and will cross Southeastern parts of China around (28.7.2023).
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, sacttered in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, (Northern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8.-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
