SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.95) inches in Sittwe, (2.64) inches in Ye, (1.93) inches in Pyay, (1.89) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (1.85) inches in Hpa-an, (1.81) inches in Hkamti, (1.38) inches each in Tamu and Paung, (1.26) inches in Yangon(Mingaladon), (1.22) inches in Putao, (1.20) inches in Ponnagyun and (1.18) inches in Thaton.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the West Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal, off North Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha Coasts (India) still persists. It is likely to move slowly Northwestwards across North Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha Coasts (India) during next (24)hours. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Typhoon “Doksuri” over the west Philippine Sea is likely to move Northwestwards and will cross Southeastern parts of China around (28.7.2023).
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region, sacttered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and about (6-8) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
