SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Eastern  Shan, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.70) inches in Chaungsone, (3.15) inches in Mudon, (3.03) inches in Kyeikkhame, (2.24) inches in Yangon(Mingaladon), (2.08) inches in Mawlamyine, (2.05) inches in Machanbaw, (1.85) inches in Myeik, (1.81) inches in Kawthaung, (1.73) inches in Launglon and (1.61) inches each in Thandwe and Paung.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal and off North Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha Coasts(India) still persists. It may further intensity into a depression next (24)hours and is likely to move slowly Northwestwards across North Andhra Pradesh- South Odisha Coasts(India). Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Typhoon “Doksuri” over the Phillippine Sea is likely to move Northwestwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be sacttered in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30- 35) mph. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong monsoon.
