BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Strom“Talim” over the South China Sea is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and it may further intensify into a Typhoon“Talim” around (17.7.2023).
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Eastern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30 - 35) mph. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
