SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway Region, fairly widespread in Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Rakhine, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (6.38) inches in Hkamti, (4.92) inches in Chaungsone, (4.32) inches in Maungdaw, (4.02) inches in Kyeikkhame, (3.34) inches in Ye, (3.31) inches Mudon, (3.30) inches in Rathedaung, (2.95) inches each in Thandwe and Buthidaung, (2.91) inches in Mawlamyine, (2.83) inches in Bago, (2.82) inches in Patheingyi and (2.68) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs MST today, the depression over the South China Sea is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Magway Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30 - 35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 15th July, 2023:                Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).
