SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay Region ‌and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (14.45) inches in Hkamti, (2.33) inches in Kyaukpyu, (1.80) inches in Rathedaung, (1.77) inches in Belin, (1.46) inches each in Thandwe and Theinzayet, (1.42) inches in Tongzan, (1.30) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit, (1.26) inches in Kyonpyaw and (1.18) inches in Paung.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
