SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Magway Region and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.84) inches in Kyaukpyu, (3.86) inches in Mogaung, (3.19) inches in Manaung, (3.07) inches in Maungdaw, (3.03) inches in Pantanaw, (2.72) inches in Thandwe, (2.34) inches in Rathedaung, (2.10) inches in Ran Bree, (2.00) inches each in Hkamti and Bu Thi Daung, (1.97) inches in Pauktaw, (1.93) inches in Sittwe, (1.89) inches in Taungkok and (1.73) inches in Tharrawady.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 07th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Region and Eastern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
