SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in  Magway Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.74) inches in Ye, (2.48) inches in Hkamti, (2.28) inches in Nyaunglaybin, (2.20) inches in Minbya, (2.12) inches in Khayan, (2.05) inches in Thaton, (1.93) inches in Putao, (1.89) inches in Launglon, (1.85) inches each in Paung and Chaungsone, (1.81) inches in Kyeikkhame and (1.77) inches each in Manaung and Kyeikmayaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 06th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at time in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35-40) mph. Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (8-11) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (7-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
