SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin, Kayin States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (5.82) inches in Monyin, (4.76) inches in Ye, (4.26) inches in Mawlamyine, (3.62) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (3.58) inches in Paung, (3.54) inches each in Mogoke and Chaungsone, (3.50) inches in Belin, (3.45) inches in Mawlamyinegyun, (3.30) inches in Thaton, (3.15) inches in Hpa-an, (3.11) inches each in Kyeikkhame and Launglon and (3.03) inches in Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.  

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (8-10) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. 

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States.
