BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 01st July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35-40) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 01st July, 2023:     Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Mandalay Region, scattered in Naypyitaw and widespread in Yangon Region.
