SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Yangon Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (6.53) inches in Thaton, (4.53) inches in Hlegu, (4.17) inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), (3.90) inches each in Hpaan and Belin, (3.86) inches in Mudon, (3.54) inches in Chaungsone, (3.34) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (3.11) inches in Gwa, (3.03) inches in Kyeikkhame, (2.99) inches in Theinzayet, (2.95) inches in Thandwe and (2.91) inches in Labutta.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (10:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha – West Bengal Coasts (India) now lies over North Odisha. It is likely to across Jharkhand and north Chhattisgarh (India) and move toward north Madhya Pradesh and weaken gradually during next (48)hrs. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 27th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30 - 35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
