BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining North Odisha – West Bengal Coasts (India) still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and across North Odisha and Jharkhand during next (48)hrs. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 26th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Region and Kachin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon State. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30 - 35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
