SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagain Region, scattered in Southern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Rakhine, Kayin States and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.80) inches in Hpa-an, (4.76) inches in Mye Bon, (4.20) inches in Pauktaw, (3.82) inches in Mawlaik, (3.70) inches in Thaton, (3.30) inches each in Mogoke and Paing Kyone, (3.15) inches in Naypyitaw(Pobbathiri), (3.07) inches in Taungkok and (3.03) inches in Sittwe.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.  

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30 - 35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (5-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
