BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 23rd June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing Region and Kachin, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) mph. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and (4-7) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.
