BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in the Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas will be are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
