SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, scattered in Bago Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon Regions and Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.48) inches in Yangon(Botahtaung), (2.41) inches in Bhamo, (2.32) inches each in Mawlamyine and Ye, (2.01) inches in Chaungsone, (1.50) inches each in Belin and Launglon and (1.46) inches in Dawei.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in the Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate to strong monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
