SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway Region and Northern Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regoins and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.95) inches in Kawthaung, (2.13) inches in Namsam, (2.01) inches in Ngathaichaung, (1.74) inches in Khayan, (1.66) inches in Myanaung, (1.57) inches in Launglon, (1.38) inches in Hakha, (1.30) inches in Bago, (1.23) inches in Pantanaw and (1.22) inches in Loikaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 06th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in the Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at time in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35-40) mph. Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (7-9) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
