BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 05th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing in the Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at time in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35-40) mph. Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (7-9) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
