SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine State, scattered in Naypyitaw,Magway, BagoRegoins and Kachin, Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon states, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan Stateand widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Magway Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.65) inches in Ngapudaw, (2.56) inchesin Chauk, (2.20) inches in Taungdwingyi, (1.81) inches each in Phyu and Myaungmya, (1.65) inches in Hakha, (1.61) inches in Maungdaw, (1.46) inches in Kungyangon, (1.42) inches in Mahlaing.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th June, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (100%).
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus cloudsaredeveloping in the Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at time in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35-40) mph. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (7-9) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
