BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “Mawar” over Philippines Sea has moved East-Northeastwards. It is centered at about (120) nautical miles East-Northeast of Okinawa and it is likely forecast to move East-Northeastwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 02ndJune, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Southern Shan, Rakhine, Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Kayin States, scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing over the Kachin, Chin, Rakhine and Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
