SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours rain or thundershowers have been widespread in BagoRegoin and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Mon states, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah, Kayin States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region with regionally heavyfalls in Magway Region and isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine State and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Day temperatureswere (8°C) above May average temperature in Kachin State, (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State,(4°C)above May average temperatures in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan, Chin States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw,Magway, Bago, Yangon  Regions and Kayah, Mon States and about May averagetemperatures in the remaining Regions and States.The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Myintkyina, Hkamti, Kalewa, Yeu,  Myinmu and Myingyan. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.35) inches in Thandwe, (2.91) inches each in Aunglan and Gwa, (2.76) inches in Sinbyugyun, (2.52) inches in Taungkok, (1.69) inches in NyaungShwe, (1.62) inches in PaingKyoneand (1.57) inches each in Kengtung and Theinzayet.

BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal. Weather is partly cloudy over the Westcentral Bay and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs MST today, the Severe Tropical Storm “Mawar” over Philippines Sea has moved North-Northeastwards. It is centered at about (335) nautical miles East-Northeast of Taiwan. It is likely forecast to move North-Northeastwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 02ndJune, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Bago Region and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regionsand Eastern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Rakhine State.Degree of certainty is (100%). THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus cloudsaredeveloping over the whole country. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of advancement of Southwest Monsoon into the Central Myanmar areas.
