SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and Kayah, Mon States, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin States and isolated in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Rakhine States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Eastern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern )Shan, Chin, Mon States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Rakhine, Kayah States and about May average temperature in Kayin State. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Myinmu, Chauk and Taungdwingyi and (41°C) each in Myingyan, Magway, Aunglan, Pakokku and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (1.97) inches in Nyaunglaybin, (1.77) inches in Madauk, (1.42) inches in Matupi, (1.34) inches in Shwekyin, (1.18) inches each in Yamethin, Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri) and Ye and (0.98) inch in Thaton.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea, North Bay and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 25th May, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Chin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

THE CONDITION OF CUMULONIMBUS CLOUD: The Cumulonimbus clouds are starting over the Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
