BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th May, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the Remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay Region and Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Kachin, Northern Shan, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
The Condition of Cumulonimbus Cloud: The Cumulonimbus clouds are developing over the Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squall with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and (7-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of advancement of Southwest Monsoon into the Southern Myanmar areas.
