SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan States, isolated in Sagaing, Magway, YangonRegions and Kayin, Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.Day temperatures were (7°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and (5°C) above May average temperature in Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States, (2°C) above May average temperatures in (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and about May average temperature in Nothern Shan State.The significant day temperatures were (46°C) in Chauk, (45°C) in Gangaw and (44°C) each in Kalewa andMyinmu. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (2.16) inches in Thipaw, (1.42) inches in Minesat, (1.18) inches in Pyinoolwin, (1.14) inches in Kyaukmae,(0.67) inch in Dawei, (0.63) inch in Payathonesu, (0.59) inch in Lashio and (0.47) inch in Ye.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Southeast Bay of Bengal has moved Northwestward. It is centered at about (400) Nautical miles Southwest of CoCo Island, (525) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun, (705) Nautical miles South- Southwest of Sittwe, (325) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Nicobar Islands (India), (285) Nautical miles Southwest of Port-Blair(India) and (760) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Cox’s Bazar (Bangladesh).Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 11thMay, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated in the remaining Regions and States.Degree of certainty is (80%).

The Condition of Cumulonimbus Cloud: The Cumulonimbus cloudsare developing over the Taninthayi Region and Shan State. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasionally squall with rough seas are likely at time Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35-40) mph. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (5-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
