SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Kayah States and isolated in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Mon States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine State, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Yangon Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Mon States and about normal average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Bawlakhae and (42°C) each in Myinmu, Chauk, Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Pyay, Taunggu and Shwekyin. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.52) inch in Thipaw, (0.15) inch in Kengtung, (0.12) inch each in Lashio, Nyaungshwe and Minesat and (0.08) inch each in Falam, Kyaukse, Naypyitaw(Zayarthiri), Yangon(Botahtaung) and Loikaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th May, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin States, scattered in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions.

The Condition of Cumulonimbus Cloud: The Cumulonimbus clouds are starting over the Kayin, Mon States. The area along the Cumulonimbus clouds movement, the weather phenomena such as strong winds accompanied with rain, thunder, lightning and hail may occur and therefore it is recommended to be aware in advance these phenomena.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay,Magway, Bago,  Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions.
